Details of Investigation:
On Friday, July 1, 2016, at about 5:41 a.m., police responded to a shooting on College Street near Augusta Avenue.
The victim was discovered inside a premises operating as an after-hours club, suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite life-saving efforts by emergency personnel, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim of Homicide #35, Lefranc MATTHEWS, 41 yrs, was also located at the same location, suffering from gunshot wounds. This victim was transported to hospital, where he died shortly after arrival.
Two other people were also discovered suffering from gunshot wounds from the same incident. These people were treated by emergency personnel, and are expected to survive their injuries.
