On Friday, June 14, 1996, at about 3:20 a.m., police responded to a 911 call at 1635 Lawrence Avenue W.
The victim was discovered in a parking lot, suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite life-saving efforts by emergency personnel, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators believe the victim was attempting to apprehend suspects for a robbery which had just occurred at O'Tooles Roadhouse restaurant, when he was shot.
