On Saturday, March 3, 2001 at about 3:01 a.m., police responded to a 911 call near 90 Nugget Road.
The victim was discovered in a parking lot, suffering from gunshot wounds received previously outside the Mirage Club nearby. Despite life-saving efforts by emergency personnel, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
There were an estimated 200 people in attendance at the dance club, who may be potential witnesses.
