As of 7 a.m., Friday, December 17, 2021, all Service buildings and facilities will close to the public, until further notice.

As a result, you will not be able to attend Toronto Police Headquarters at 40 College St. to apply for or pick up applications for Vulnerable Sector Screenings, Criminal Record Checks, Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Checks, Fingerprint Destructions or Access and Privacy Requests.

Alternatively, all processes can be done online or through the mail. Please read through our website for more information.

Criminal Record Check Process

What you need:

Payment Options:

  • Processing fee is CA $20.00, which can be paid by Visa or MasterCard (this administrative fee does not apply to individuals under the age of 18)
  • The processing fee is NON-REFUNDABLE. Please ensure you have read and understand the full terms and conditions prior to accessing the online application form.

Processing Time:

  • 7 to 10 business days, but may fluctuate due to volume and time of year

  • You can choose to pick up your completed letter from one of our designated locations:
  • Map of police divisions in Toronto and pick-up locations

    23 Division
    Headquarters

Hours of Operation:

  • All locations are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with the exception of Headquarters, which is only open Monday to Friday (excluding statutory holidays) between 0700 hours to 1700 hours.

  • The processing fee is NON-REFUNDABLE. Please ensure you have read and understand the full terms and conditions noted on the application form

Location Options:

  • In person applications must be made at Toronto Police Headquarters – 40 College Street, Customer Service Centre kiosk. Please note applications cannot be made at Police Divisions.

Hours of Operation:

  • Monday to Friday, excluding statutory holidays from 0700 to 1700 hours.
