20100729_hom_29_2010.jpgHomicide investigators are appealing for more information into how and why David Darcy was killed after they arrested two men wanted in connection with the murder.

David Darcy, 37, died in hospital after witnesses saw him collapse to the ground after getting out of his navy blue 1999 Ford Explorer, in the area of McCowan Rd. and Lawrence Ave. E. on July 14.

Anthony Wong, 29, also known as “King”, of Brampton, and Sharmake Abdi, 26, also known as “Tall Man” or “Slim,” have been charged with first-degree murder.

Investigators believe Darcy was stabbed after a dispute in the area of Danforth Road and Magnolia Ave. He was driving himself to a hospital when he pulled over at a gas station and collapsed near his car at 4:46 a.m.

Det. David Ecklund said the investigation is far from over and that anyone who witnessed the stabbing or has information in relation to the victim or suspects that may help the case should call police.

“We are appealing to anyone in the area at the time to come forward and assist us,” Ecklund said, noting police have had help in the investigation from people in the area.

“We are trying to determine what exactly the relationship was between these two (wanted) individuals and Mr. Darcy. It appears that there was some association.”

Anyone with information on their whereabouts or about the case is asked to contact police at 416−808−7400, Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416−222−TIPS (8477), online at www.222tips.com [1], or text TOR and your message to CRIMES (274637).
