Personal Injury Collision #12/2020,
Eglinton Avenue East at Cedar Drive,
Arrests Made and Person of Interest Sought

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a person of interest in relation to a fail to remain collision.

On Thursday, May 14, 2020, at approximately 11:49 a.m., police responded to a call for a fail to remain personal injury collision that occurred at Eglinton Avenue East and Cedar Drive, in Toronto.

It is alleged that:

- a 10-year-old boy and his 38-year-old mother were on the south-east corner waiting to cross Eglington Avenue. A 50-year-old man, who is unrelated to the pair, was on the same corner also waiting to cross the road

- at this time, a black 2019 Chevrolet Cruze was travelling east on Eglington Avenue East

- the driver lost control and mounted the sidewalk where the three people were standing. All three people were struck

- the adult victims sustained non-life threatening injuries. The 10-year-old suffered life-threatening injuries and is in hospital

- the vehicle continued a short distance and struck a light pole. The driver fled the scene in the vehicle east on Eglington Avenue East

- a short time later, a black 2019 Chevrolet Cruze was observed by a local resident in the Deekshill Drive and Budworth Drive area of Toronto

- several people were observed in and around the vehicle

- three people were seen getting back into the same vehicle and leaving the area

- the vehicle was later located in Whitby and a man, woman and a girl were arrested.


Rondell Solomon, 20, of Ajax, has been charged with:

1) Accessory To A Duel Procedure Offence

He is scheduled to appear at College Park, on Friday, May 15, 2020, at 10 a.m.

Annalise Reck, 20, of Mississauga, has been charged with:

1) Accessory To A Duel Procedure Offence
2) Fail to Comply With Release Order

She is scheduled to appear at College Park, on Friday, May 15, 2020, at 10 a.m.

A 17-year-old girl, of Mississauga, has been charged with:

1) Accessory To A Dual Procedure Offence
2) Two counts of Fail To Comply With Release Order
3) Obstruct Peace Officer

She is scheduled to appear at 1911 Eglinton Avenue East, on Friday, May 15, 2020 at 10 a.m.

110. (1) Subject to this section, no person shall publish the name of a young person, or any other information related to a young person, if it would identify the young person as a young person dealt with under this Act.***


Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a fourth person in relation to this investigation. The person of interest is described as a man in his 20s, last seen walking away from the Deekshill Drive and Budworth Drive area.

The investigation is ongoing by Traffic Services and investigators are asking for assistance from the public and to recall any information they have about the two separate locations of Eglinton Avenue East and Cedar Drive and Deekshill Drive and Budworth Drive .

Police are also urging local residents, businesses, and drivers, who may have security or dash camera footage of the areas or incidents, to contact investigators.
