A resident of Tayrow Road reports that on February 3, 2010 between 0700 and 1630 hours entry was gained into the premises by forcing a window.  Removed was a quantity of jewellery and electronics.

Robbery (Business) - 42 Division

A 39 year old owner of Markham Trading, 705 Middlefield Road unit 112, reports that on February 3, 2010 at approximately 1810 hours, four male suspects wearing disguises entered the premises.  The suspects produced a handgun, directed the victims to a back office, where they were bounded, pepper sprayed and assaulted.  Removed from the victims were a quantity of cash, identification, and sixty skids of hardwood flooring.  The suspects fled the scene in an unknown direction.  Three victims suffered minor injuries, but will seek their own medical attention. Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described persons in connection with this offence.  Description of Suspect #1: Male, black, 20 to 30 years, 6’0” to 6’1”, thin build, brown eyes, straight black hair. Robbery (Business) - 12 Division

A 26 year old female and 29 year old male employee of Scarlett Convenience Store, 36-B Scarlett Road, report that on February 3, 2010 at approximately 2121 hours four male suspects wearing disguises entered the premises and approached the counter.  One suspect produced a knife and demanded for the employee to open the cash register.  The other suspects went behind the counter and removed a quantity of cash and cigarettes.  The suspects then fled the scene heading westbound on Eileen Avenue.  The victims did not sustain any injuries. A 34 year old male employee of Macs Convenience, 140 La Rose Avenue, reports that on February 3, 2010 at approximately 2100 hours two male suspects wearing disguises entered the premises and approached the counter.  One suspect produced a handgun; pistol whipped the victim, and made a demand for cash, cigarettes, cigars and rolling papers.  The victim complied.  The suspects then fled the scene in an unknown direction. The victim suffered minor injuries, but will seek his own medical attention. Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described persons in connection with this offence.  Description of Suspect #1 and #2: Male, black, 19 to 23 years, 6’0” to 6’1”, medium build.

An 18 year old male reports that on February 4, 2010 at approximately 0015 hours he was in the area of Pape Street and Langley Avenue when he was approached from behind by a male and female suspect.  The male suspect produced a knife and made a demand for property. The victim complied handing over his cellular telephone, a knapsack, and a wallet containing cash and identification.  The suspects then fled the scene heading northbound towards Pape Avenue. The victim did not sustain any injuries. Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described persons in connection with this offence.  Description of Suspect #1: Male, white, 17 to 23 years, 5’6” to 5’10”, medium build, brown hair. Suspect #2: Female, white, 17 to 23 years, 5’6” to 5’10”, 150 to 169 pounds, medium build, brown eyes, brown hair.

A 56 year old female reports that on February 2, 2010 at approximately 2200 hours, she was in the area of Port Union Road and Lawson Road when she was approached from behind by a male suspect. The suspect grabbed the victim’s purse, and fled the area in a northerly direction. The victim sustained minor injuries.  Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described person in connection with this offence.  Description of Suspect: Male, black, 27 to 30 years, 5’11” to 6’2”, medium build.

Charge(s):  February 4, 2010 - Instructing the Commission of an Offence for Criminal Organization, Commission of an Offence for a Criminal Organization, Conspiracy to Commit Indictable Offence (3 counts),Fraud Over (2 counts), Attempt Fraud Over, Fraud Under (2 counts), Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle.

Arrested and investigated by Members of No. 41 Division.

Between August and November 2007, a male suspect was a member of a criminal organization involved in staging motor vehicle collisions within the city of Toronto.   The suspect was actively involved in the planning and execution of staged collisions as well as recruitment of individuals who agreed to have vehicles registered in their names. These individuals would then stage motor vehicle collisions for the purpose of making fraudulent property damage and injury claims to insurance companies. The total loss to insurers in relation to the collisions is in excess of $300,000.00.  As a result of investigation Maamar Saoulel was arrested on February 4, 2010.  Charged accordingly.

A 14 year old male reports that on February 4, 2010 at approximately 1520 hours, he was walking in the area of Hinton Road and Elmhurst Drive when three male suspects approached from behind.  One of the suspects instructed the victim to empty his pockets and he complied.  The suspects removed his wallet, cash and personal identification.  The suspects then fled the scene in an unknown direction.  No injuries were sustained by the victim.  Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described persons in connection with this offence.  Description of Suspect #1: Male, black, 20-22 years, 5’11”-6’1”, 130-140 pounds, thin build, black eyes.  Suspects #2-#3:Male, black, light complexion.

Eastbrooke Contracting, Corp., 2501 Rutherford Road, Unit 28, Vaughan, Ontario reports that on January 28, 2010 at approximately 1400 hours, a trailer parked at 1800 Sheppard Avenue West was removed containing construction equipment.
