Robbery (Delivery Person) - 54 Division

A 24 year old male delivery person for Dial-A-Bottle, 49 Belgravia Avenue, reports that on November 16, 2009 at approximately 1630 hours, he was making delivery to an apartment building in the No. 54 Division area when four male suspects approached him.  One suspect grabbed the victim, punched him about the face and body and knocked him to the ground.  The suspects demanded money and the victim’s property.  The victim complied and the suspects then fled the scene in an unknown direction.  The victim sustained minor injuries and will seek his own medical attention.  Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described persons in connection with this offence.  Description of Suspect #1:  Male, white, 25 to 30 years, 5’10” to 6’0”, 180 to 200 pounds, heavy build.  Suspect #2:  Male, white, 25 to 30 years.  Suspects #3 & #4:  Male, black, 25 to 30 years, NO FURTHER DESCRIPTION AVAILABLE.

Robbery (Swarming) - 42 Division

A 15 year old male reports that on November 16, 2009 at approximately 1600 hours, he was at the bus shelter in the area of Morningside Avenue and Sheppard Avenue East when four male suspects approached him.  One suspect demanded the victim empty his pocket.  The victim complied and the suspect grabbed the victim’s iPod and cell phone, then all the suspects fled the scene towards a grocery store on Morningside Avenue and Milner Avenue.  No injuries were sustained by the victim.  Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described persons in connection with this offence.  Description of Suspect #1:  Male, black, 5’7”, medium build, brown eyes, short black hair.  Suspect #2:  Male, Asian, 5’1”, long black hair in ponytail.  Suspect #3:  Male, black, 5’7”, medium build.  Suspect #4:  Male, black, 5’8”, medium build.

An 18 year old female reports that on November 16, 2009 at approximately 1639 hours, she was at the bus terminal on Don Mills Subway Station when a male suspect approached her.  The suspect grabbed the vicitm’s iPod I Touch, then fled the scene in an unknown direction.  No injuries were sustained by the victim.  Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described person in connection with this offence.  Description of Suspect:  Male, black, 19 to 23 years, 5’9”, 141 to 161 pounds, short black hair.

Charge(s):  November 16, 2009 – Robbery (Mugging)

Arrested by Members of No. 22 Division, Investigated by Members of the Hold-Up Squad.

On November 16, 2009 at about 2100 hours, a male suspect attended Burger King Restaurant, 829 The Queensway and approached the counter.  The suspect produced a note indicating he was armed, although no weapon was seen and demanded money.  The victim called for the manager, at which time, the suspect grabbed the note and fled the scene empty-handed.  No injuries were sustained by the victim.  Police were notified and as a result, DASILVA was arrested a short time later.  Charged accordingly.

Robbery (Swarming) - 14 Division

A 52 year old male reports that on November 17, 2009 at approximately 0200 hours, he was in the area of Augusta Avenue and College Street, when he was approached by three male suspects. The suspects punched and struck the victim about the body with a stick. The suspects removed the victim’s jacket and a quantity of cash and fled the scene in an unknown direction. Toronto EMS transported the victim to hospital where he was treated and released. Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described persons in connection with this offence.  Description of Suspects #1-#3: Male. A 44 year old employee of North Country Property Maintenance, 1945 Lockhart Road, Innisfil, Ontario, reports that between 1330 hours, November 16, 2009, and 0730 hours, November 17, 2009 a trailer, containing a quantity of landscaping equipment, and a snow plow blade was removed from a parking lot at 1800 The Queensway.

Traffic Fatality No. 40 - 32 Division

DECEASED:  Adrian Boldan – 65 Years

On November 17, 2009 at approximately 0845 hours, the now deceased was struck by a motor vehicle while Crossing Greenwin Village Road.  As a result, the now deceased suffered head trauma and was transported to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries at approximately 1150 hours.  Investigated by Members of Traffic Services.  Investigation continuing.

Arson - 42 Division

On November 17, 2009 at approximately 1100 hours, a tractor was discovered engulfed in flame in the area of 30 Emblem Court.  Toronto Fire Services under the direction of Captain Dunbar attended and extinguished the fire.  The Ontario Fire Marshall’s Office will not be notified.  Captain Dunbar advised that the fire would be classed as Suspected Arson.  Damage to the tractor trailer is estimated to be in excess of $100,000.

Arrest - 22 Division

ROBERT FRANCIS RICHARDS, 42

Charge(s):  November 17, 2009 – Attempt Murder, Aggravated Assault, Assault with Weapon, Overcome Resistance (Choking), Forcible Confinement, Robbery

Arrested and Investigated by Members of Hold Up Squad.

On May 28, 2009 at approximately 1100 hours, a male suspect entered Flower’s By Sophie, 645 The Queensway.  The suspect approached the victim and grabbed her in a headlock, making a demand for cash.  The victim complied.  The suspect, wrapped computer cables around the victim’s neck, in an attempt to strangle her.  A struggle ensued and the suspect stabbed the victim in the face with a knife.  The victim was able to break free and made good her escape.  The victim sustained minor injuries and was transported by EMS to hospital where she was treated and released.  As a result of investigation, RICHARDS was arrested on November 17, 2009 by Members of the Hold Up Squad.  Charged accordingly.
