A 25 year old male reports that on November 7, 2009 at approximately 2116 hours, he was in the area of Yonge Boulevard and Ridley Boulevard, attempting to unlock his vehicle door, when he was pushed from behind, by a male suspect. The victim fell forward to the ground loosing his keys. The suspect removed the keys from the ground, got in the vehicle and fled the scene southbound. No injuries were sustained by the victim. A 16 year old female reports that on November 7, 2009 at approximately 2010 hours, she was in the area of Jane Street and Lawrence Avenue West, when she was approached by ten male suspects from behind. One suspect grabbed the victim’s shoulder, causing her to fall to the ground. The suspect removed the victim’s wallet and iPod. The suspects then fled the scene westbound on Lawrence Avenue West. The victim sustained minor injuries and will seek own medical attention. On November 6, 2009 at approximately 2030 hours, four females ages 17 years, 19 years, 21 years and 41 years, were in an apartment located in the area of Markham Road and Greenbrae circuit when three male suspects (one still outstanding) wearing disguises and armed with handguns forced their way inside the premises. The suspects made a demand for the whereabouts of a male acquaintance. The suspects confined the victims to the residence and removed their cell phones. One victim was taken to a nearby apartment, sexually assaulted and returned to the residence. The suspects exited the premises with one of the victims and took her to a hotel nearby. Once at his location, the victim was forced into a waiting cab with one suspect and driven around the GTA for several hours. The suspect returned with the victim to the hotel. The victim managed to make good her escape. Police were notified. Through investigation, CARMICHAEL was arrested a short distance away. At the time of arrest, CARMICHAEL was found to be in possession of a quantity of cash. Police located a fully loaded handgun hidden in a garbage can. Through investigation, ELWOOD was also arrested a short time later. It was also revealed the ELWOOD had failed to comply with the conditions of his Recognizance.

On November 8, 2009 at approximately 0218 hours, Members of No. 41 Division responded to a shooting call in the area of Midland Avenue and Progress Avenue. Once at this location, the officers observed a 16 year old male lying in the parking lot suffering from gun shot wounds. The police also located a vehicle with numerous shell casings on the passenger’s side. The victim was transported to a hospital and treated for his injuries. Fire Determined – 33 Division
On November 8, 2009 at approximately 0943 hours, a fire was discovered at The Triple Crown Bar and Grill, 1252 Lawrence Avenue East. Toronto Fire Services under the direction of Captain Falkner attended the scene and extinguished the blaze. The cause of the fire was determined to be the deep fryer igniting. No injuries were sustained. Total damage is estimated at $500,000.00
