A 23 year old male reports that on October 25, 2009 at approximately 0000 hours, he was in the area of Sunrise Avenue and Victoria Park Avenue, when an unknown suspect(s) approached him from behind. The suspect(s) struck the victim in the head with an unknown object rendering him unconscious. The suspect(s) removed the victim’s wallet, keys and cash and fled in an unknown direction. Robbery (Swarming) – 55 Division
A 25 year old male reports that on October 26, 2009 at approximately 2014 hours, he was in the area of Hamilton Street and Dundas Street East, when four male suspects approached him from behind. One of the suspects punched the victim in the back of his head. The suspects then pushed the victim to the ground and kicked him about the body. The second suspect made a demand for the victim’s backpack. The victim complied. One of the suspects demanded the victim to empty his pockets. The victim refused. The same suspect struck the victim in his face. The suspects fled the scene with the victim’s backpack westbound on Dundas Street East. No injuries were sustained by the victim. A 57 year old male owner of the Woodmount Variety, 167 Woodmount Avenue, reports that on October 26, 2009 at approximately 1925 hours, a male suspect entered the premises and approached the counter while the second suspect stood outside as a lookout. The suspect placed a sword to the victim’s shoulder and made a demand for cash. The victim complied. The suspects then fled the scene eastbound on Sammon Avenue. Robbery (Business) - 13 Division
Two males, ages 52 and 21 years and a 52 year old female, owners of Antonia Grocery and Variety, 54 Peterborough Avenue, report that on October 26, 2009 at approximately 2105 hours, two male suspects wearing disguises entered the premises and approached the counter. One suspect attempted to open the cash register and a struggle ensued with the 52 year old male victim. The second suspect produced a handgun, pointed it at the 52 year old male victim, at which time, the 52 year old female attempted to grab the gun and a struggle ensued. The suspects then fled the scene empty-handed southbound on Via Italia. The 52 year old male victim was transported to hospital where he was treated for minor injuries and later released. The two victims sustained minor injuries but no medical attention was required. Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described persons in connection with this offence. Description of Suspect #1: Male, black, 6’0”, thin build. A 53 year old male delivery person of Swiss Chalet, 1400 O’Connor Drive, reports that on October 26, 2009 at approximately 2205 hours, he was making a delivery on Wakunda Place when a male suspect wearing a balaclava approached him. The suspect produced a knife, at which time, the victim threw the delivery bag at the suspect and made good his escape. The suspect grabbed the delivery bag then fled the scene in an unknown direction. The victim did not sustain any injuries. A 61 year old male reports that between 0001 hours, September 18, 2009 and 0945 hours, October 26, 2009, he was on a teaching assignment in China. On September 18, 2009, the victim’s investment advisor received an email from a male suspect demanding to release funds from the victim’s account. The investment advisor relayed the message to the victim’s brother, who in turn check on his brother’s bank activity and put on hold by the bank. On October 26, 2009 at approximately 0715 hours, the brother’s wife received a phone call from the victim asking the investment advisor to release some funds so the rebels would set him free.
