Robbery (Delivery Person) - 54 Division

A 23 year old male employee of Pizza Pizza, 796 O’Connor Drive, reports that on October 24, 2009 at approximately 2240 hours, he was making a delivery in the area of Bermondsey Road and Eglinton Avenue East, when he was approached from behind by two male suspects wearing disguises.  One suspect indicated that he was armed, although no weapon was seen.  The suspect then went through the victim’s pockets and removed a quantity of cash. The second suspect removed the victim’s cellular telephone and food order.  The suspects fled the scene in an unknown direction.  The victim did not sustain any injuries. Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described persons in connection with this offence.  Description of Suspect #1 and #2: Male, black, 17 to 21 years, 5’6” to 5’7”, 119 to 134 pounds, thin build, brown eyes.

Robbery (Mugging) - 54 Division

A 48 year old male reports that on October 24, 2009 at approximately 2245 hours, he was in the area of O’Connor Drive and Victoria Park Avenue, when he was approached by two male suspects wearing disguises.  One suspect hit the victim about the head, while the other suspect removed two cellular telephones from him.  The suspects fled the scene in an unknown direction.  The victim did not sustain any injuries.  Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described persons in connection with this offence.  Description of Suspect #1: Male, black, 18 to 20 years, thin build. Suspect #2: Male, black, 5’9”, 19 to 21 years, short black hair.

Robbery (Mugging) - 42 Division

Two males, ages 20 and 22, report that on October 25, 2009 at approximately 0005 hours, they were in the area of Warden Avenue and Huntingwood Drive, whey they were approached from behind by a male wearing a disguise. The suspect produced a handgun and made a demand for cash.  The victims complied and the suspect removed an IPod, cellular telephone, TTC metro pass, and a quantity of cash.  The suspect fled the scene in an unknown direction.  The victims did not sustain any injuries. Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described person in connection with this offence.  Description of Suspect:  Male, black, 5’9” to 5’10”, 174 to 180 pounds, thin build.

Robbery (Swarming) - 52 Division

A 28 year old male reports that on October 24, 2009 at approximately 2330 hours, he was in the area of John Street and Richmond Street West, when he was approached by three male suspects.  One suspect grabbed a chain around the victim’s neck and a struggle ensued. Two other suspects then punched the victim and hit him with a bottle over the head.  One suspect then removed the victim’s chain and the suspects fled the scene in an unknown direction. The victim suffered minor injuries, but will seek his own medical attention. Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described persons in connection with this offence.  Description of Suspect #1: Male, black, 25 to 30 years, 5’7” to 5’8”, thin build, short black afro hair. Suspect #2: Male, black with light complexion, 25 to 30 years, 6’1”, heavy build. Suspect #3: male, 25 to 30 years, 5’5” to 5’6”, medium build.

A 55 year old male employee of Sunnyview Variety, 237 Park Lawn Road, reports that on October 24, 2009 at approximately 2106 hours three male suspects wearing disguises entered the premises and approached the counter. One suspect produced a handgun and made a demand for cash. The victim complied. A second suspect walked around the counter and removed cash from two cash registers and a quantity of cigarettes from a display case. The third suspect acted as a lookout. The suspects then fled the scene heading eastbound on Waniska Avenue. The victim did not sustain any injuries. Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described persons in connection with this offence.  Description of Suspect #1 and #2: Male, black, 5’9” to 5’10”, thin build, black hair. A 53 year old male, employee of Shoppers Drug Mart, 550 Eglinton Avenue West, reports that on October 25, 2009 at approximately 1559 hours, a male suspect entered the premises. The victim observed the suspect concealing items in his pocket and confronted him. The suspect produced a knife and pushed the victim. The suspect fled the scene westbound in a silver BMW. The victim sustained minor injuries and medical attention was refused. Newsworthy - Industrial Accident - 41 Division

On October 24, 2009 at approximately 1414 hours a 46 year old male was working at a loading dock, 100 Metropolitan Road, when he exited his tractor trailer to complete a required inspection. The victim was pinned between his tractor trailer and a parked trailer. The victim was transported to hospital where he was pronounced dead. The Coroner’s Office was notified and attended. Autopsy was completed and cause of death is severe trauma to lower back and abdomen. Investigation continuing. Investigated by Traffic Services.

A 63 year old employee, of Sona Chandi Diamond,22K & White Gold Jewellery, 1430 Gerrard Street East, reports that on October 25, 2009 at approximately 1300 hours, four suspects wearing disguises entered the premises. The suspects forced a hole in the wall, removing an airvent and dropped to the floor from the ceiling. One of the suspects punched and kicked one victim about the body.  One suspect produced a handgun, forced one victim to the floor, dragged him to a stockroom and threatened him with harm. The suspects removed a quantity of jewellery from a safe and jewellery display cases. The suspects fled the scene in an unknown direction. Minor injuries were sustained to the victim and medical attention was refused.
