A 60 year old male employee of The Convenience, 1962 Danforth Avenue, reports that on October 20, 2009 at approximately 2130 hours, two male suspects wearing disguises entered the premises and approached the counter. One suspect produced a gun and forced the victim to the back of the store. A struggle ensued and one suspect hit the victim about the head with a gun and the second suspect punched him. The suspects removed a quantity of cash and cigarettes. The suspects then fled the scene westbound on Danforth Avenue. Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described persons in connection with this offence. Description of Suspect #1: Male, black, 20 to 25 years, 5’7”. A 50 year old male reports that on October 21, 2009 at approximately 0245 hours, he was in his vehicle parked in the area of Spadina Avenue and Baldwin Street when he was approached from behind by a male suspect, wearing a disguise, on a bicycle. The suspect produced a knife, reached into the victim’s vehicle, held the knife against his neck and made a demand for the victim’s personal belongings. A struggle ensued. The suspect then fled the scene with the victim’s laptop and iPhone westbound on St.Andrew Street. No injuries were sustained by the victim. On October 21, 2009 at approximately 1255 hours, a 54 year old male parked his tow truck southbound on Weston Road in the curb lane, south of Fenmar Drive. The now DECEASED was at the rear of his vehicle when a white Ford van travelling southbound struck the now DECEASED, pinning him underneath the the Ford van. The now DECEASED was pronounced dead at the scene. No injuries were sustained by the driver of the Ford van. The Coroner’s Office was notified. Investigated by Members of Traffic Services.
