Fire Undetermined - 51 Division

On October 18, 2009 at approximately 1801 hours, a fire was discovered at 147 Queen Street East.  Toronto Fire Services had numerous trucks attend under the direction of District Chief Trempe and extinguished the blaze. Three occupants were transported to hospital where they were treated for smoke inhalation and later released.  The cause of fire is undetermined at this time.  Total damage to the building and contents is unknown at this time.

Robbery (Business) - 23 Division

A 38 year old male employee of Forbidden Fantasies Adult Video, 900 Albion Road, reports that on October 18, 2009 at approximately 2018 hours, a male suspect wearing a balaclava entered the premises and approached the counter.  The suspect produced a handgun, pointed it at the victim and demanded money and his wallet.  The victim complied, and the suspect then fled the scene southbound towards Albion Road.  No injuries were sustained by the victim.  Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described person in connection with this offence.  Description of Suspect:  Male, black, 23 to 28 years, 5’10”, 150 to 169 pounds, thin build.

Robbery (Business) - 31 Division

A 35 year old male employee of Q-Video, 2371A Weston Road, reports that on October 18, 2009 at approximately 2106 hours, a male suspect wearing a disguise entered the premises and approached the counter.  The suspect produced a handgun, pointed it at the victim and demanded money.  The victim complied, and the suspect then fled the scene in an unknown direction.  No injuries were sustained by the victim.  Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described person in connection with this offence.  Description of Suspect:  Male, black, 20 to 22 years, 5’7” to 5’8”, thin build, brown eyes.

Charge(s): October 5, 2009 – Robbery (Financial Institution)

Arrested and Investigated by Members of Hold-Up Squad.

On October 5, 2009, two male suspects attended the TD Canada Trust located at 2220 Bloor Street West. One of the suspects stood outside while the second suspect entered the premises, approached a teller and produced a note demanding a quantity of cash. The victim complied and the suspects fled the scene in an unknown direction. The victim sustained no injuries. As a result of investigation, one of the suspects was arrested on October 7, 2009 by Members of Hold-Up Squad. On October 19, 2009, BALDWIN was arrested by Members of Hold-Up Squad. Charged accordingly. No recovery has been made.

An employee for Max Capital Markets Limited reports that between October 5, 2009, at 0900 hours and October 19, 2009, at 0900 hours, a quantity of computer equipment, camera equipment and clothing were removed from a job site located at 25 King Street West, 29th floor.

Robbery (Swarming) - 23 Division

A 43 year old male reports that on October 18, 2009 at approximately 1620 hours, he was exiting his vehicle parked in the area of Weston Road and Hwy 401, when he was approached by two male suspects and a female suspect in a vehicle.  One of the male suspects attempted to punch the victim and a struggle ensued.  At this time a female suspect exited the vehicle, approached the victim and removed a necklace from the victim’s person.  The suspects then entered their vehicle and fled the scene in an unknown direction.  The victim sustained minor injuries but refused medical attention.  Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described persons in connection with this offence.  Description of Suspect #1: Male, white, 20 years, 5’7”, 200 pounds, medium build, short black hair.  Suspect #2: Male, white 5’8”, thin build, shaved head.  Suspect #3: Female, white, long dark hair, thin build.

Robbery (Swarming) - 42 Division

A 58 year old male reports that on October 19, 2009 at approximately 1140 hours, he was in the area of Pharmacy Avenue and Steeles Avenue East, when he was approached by three male suspects.  One of the suspects grabbed the victim and covered his eyes, while a second suspect covered the victim’s mouth and pushed him to the ground.  At this time, the other suspect reached into the victim’s jacket pocket and removed a quantity of cash.  The suspects fled the scene in an awaiting vehicle driven by another male suspect in an unknown direction.  No injuries were sustained by the victim.  Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described persons in connection with this offence.  Description of Suspect #1: Male, white, 25-35 years, 5’6”-5’8”. Suspects #2- #3: Male, white, 25-30 years, 5’6”. Suspect #4: Male, white, 25-35 years. NO FURTHER DESCRIPTION AVAILABLE.
