Robbery (Swarming) - 42 Division
A 48 year old male and a 35 year old female, report that on October 17, 2009 at approximately 1342 hours, they were in their vehicle in the parking lot in the area of Kennedy Road and Sheppard Avenue East when a vehicle stopped behind them. Three male suspects exited the vehicle, two produced long metal tools and smashed out the front and rear passenger windows of the victims’ vehicle. The suspects grabbed two knapsacks containing a quantity of jewellery, personal identification and accessories. The female victim attempted to hold onto the knapsack, at which point, one suspect punched her about the head and another suspect punched the male victim about the mouth. The suspects returned to the awaiting vehicle driven by another suspect, then fled the scene in an unknown direction. The victims’ were treated at the scene by Toronto EMS. Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described persons in connection with this offence. Description of Suspect #1: Male, white, 25 to 27 years, 6’0” to 6’2”, 180 to 200 pounds, medium build, short straight brown hair. Suspect #2: Male, white, 25 to 27 years, 5’7” to 5’9”, 141 to 150 pounds, thin build. Suspect #3: Male, white, 25 to 27 years, 5’7” to 5’9”, thin build. A 22 year male employee of 7-Eleven, 883 Dundas Street West, reports that on October 16, 2009 at approximately 0440 hours, a male suspect wearing a ski mask entered the premises and approached the counter. The suspect indicated he was armed, although no weapon was seen and demanded money. The suspect grabbed a quantity of cash from the till, then ordered the victim to the floor. The suspect fled the scene in an unknown direction. No injuries were sustained by the victim. Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described person in connection with this offence. Description of Suspect: Male, white, 24 to 25 years, 5’6” to 5’9”, thin build, blue eyes.

A 54 year old male employee of Milk N Shop, 165 Gary Drive, reports that on October 17, 2009 at approximately 2045 hours, two male suspects entered the premises and approached the counter. One of the suspects produced a handgun, pointed it to the victim’s face and demanded money. The second suspect walked behind the counter, removed a quantity of cigars from a cabinet and a quantity of cash from the till. The suspects then fled the scene eastbound on Gary Drive. No injuries were sustained by the victim. Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described persons in connection with this offence. Description of Suspect #1: Male, black, 18 to 20 years, 5’7” to 5’8”, thin build. Suspect #2: Male, black, 16 to 19 years, 5’5” to 5’7”, thin build.

Two males, ages 54 and 44 years, report that on October 17, 2009 at approximately 2300 hours, they were inside their apartment in the No. 31 Division area when a male suspect forced his entry into the premises. The suspect produced a handgun, pointed it at one of the victim then removed a laptop from the premises. The suspect fled the scene in a vehicle in an unknown direction. No injuries were sustained by the victims’. Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described person in connection with this offence. Description of Suspect: Male, black, 5’6” to 5’9”, 130 to 141 pounds, thin build, short black hair.

Fire Undetermined - 22 Division
On October 17, 2009 at approximately 1830 hours, a fire was discovered at 5 Birchlea Avenue. Numerous pumper units attended under the direction of District Chief Hocking and extinguished the blaze. The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time. One of the tenant was transported to hospital where she was treated, admitted and presently under observation. Total damage to the building and contents is unknown at this time.

Robbery (Mugging) - 23 Division
A 21 year old male reports that on October 18, 2009 at approximately 0400 hours he was sitting in his vehicle in the area of Elmvale Crescent and Silverstone Drive, when he was approached by two male suspects, one armed with a shotgun. The suspects forced their way into the vehicle and demanded cash and the victim’s phone. The suspects removed the victim’s wallet and phone, then fled the scene on Silverstone Drive. No injuries were sustained by the victim. Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described persons in connection with this offence. Description of Suspect #1: Male, black, 20 to 23 years, 6’0” to 6’1”, 150 to 161 pounds, thin build, black hair. Suspect #2: Male, black, 5’10” to 5’11”, stocky build, black eyes, black hair.

On October 17, 2009 at approximately 2350 hours, a 21 year old male was driving a BMW motor vehicle, at a high rate of speed, on Finch Avenue West in the passing lane east of Tobermory Avenue. The driver lost control of his vehicle and struck another vehicle. The vehicle that was struck contained a 43 year old male victim who was driving the vehicle and four female victims. As a result of the impact, the three now DECEASED were ejected from the vehicle. The three now DECEASED were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and the fourth passenger sustained major injuries and were transported to a hospital where they were treated and admitted. The driver of the BMW motor vehicle sustained minor injuries and was transported to a hospital where he was treated and released. The Coroner’s Office was notified. Investigated by Members of Traffic Services.

C.D. Electrical Contractors Inc., 57 Chauncey Avenue, reports that between 1730 hours, October 17, 2009 and 0730 hours, October 18, 2009 entry was gained into the premises by forcing a chain lock. Removed was a trailer containing two snowmobiles, two helmets and a suit.

A 24 year old male reports that on October 18, 2009 at approximately 1725 hours, he exited his vehicle in a parking lot in the area of Neilson Road and Tapscott Avenue when he was approached, from behind, by two male suspects. One suspect produced an unknown object, poked the victim in the back, and made a demand for cash. The victim complied and the suspects punched him in the face and neck. Both suspects then fled the scene towards the intersection of Neilson Road and Tapscott Avenue. The victim sustained minor injuries and will seek his own medical attention. Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described persons in connection with this offence. Description of Suspect #1: Male, south asian, 16-18 years, 5’56”-5’6”, 174 pounds, medium build, short straight black hair, brown eyes. Suspect #2: Male, black, 15-17 years, 5’5”-5’6”, 150 pounds, medium build, short black hair, brown eyes.
