Robbery (Swarming) - 23 Division

Two males age 17 years and 18 years report that on June 16, 2009 at approximately 2230 hours, they were walking in the area of Dixon Road and Wincott Drive when two male suspects approached.  The suspects made a demand for cash, searched through one victim’s pockets and removed his iPhone.  The suspects then fled the scene on the north side of Dixon Road where they were joined by three other male suspects.  No injuries were sustained by the victims.  Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described persons in connection with this offence.  Description of Suspect #1: Male, black, 17-19 years, 6’0”-6’2”, 140-160 pounds, thin build, short black afro hair.  Suspect #2: Male, black, 17-19 years, 6’0”-6’2”, 140-160 pounds, thin build.  Suspects #3-#5: Male, black.  NO FURTHER DESCRIPTION AVAILABLE.

Robbery (Purse Snatch) - 31 Division

A 45 year old female reports that on June 16, 2009 at approximately 2300 hours, she was walking in the vicinity of Keele Street and Wilson Avenue, when a male suspect approached from behind.  The suspect attempted to grab the victim’s purse but was unsuccessful.  A struggle ensued and the suspect struck the victim’s hand and removed her cellular phone.  The suspect then fled the scene northbound on Agate Road.  The victim sustained minor injuries and was transported to hospital by Toronto EMS where she was treated and released.  Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described person in connection with this offence.  Description of Suspect: Male, black, 18-22 years, 5’7”-5’9”, thin build.

Robbery (Swarming) - 43 Division

A 14 year old male and two 15 year old males report that on June 16, 2009 at approximately 2355 hours, they were walking in the vicinity of Lawrence Avenue East and Port Union Road, when a group of male suspects approached.  One of the suspects produced a handgun, pointed it at one of the victims and knocked him to the ground while the other suspects searched through his pockets and removed his cellular phone, cash and a TTC bus pass from his person.  The other suspects removed cellular phones from the other two victims.  The suspects fled the scene towards Port Union Road.  No injuries were sustained by the victims.  Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described persons in connection with this offence.  Description of Suspect #1:  Male, black, 17-20 years, 5’10” – 6’0”, medium build, short black afro hair in dreadlocks.  Suspects #2 - #4: Male, black, 17-20 years, 5’10”-6’0”.  Suspects #5 - #7: Male, black.  NO FURTHER DESCRIPTION AVAILABLE.

Newsworthy Item – 12 Division

On June 16, 2009 at approximately 2153 hours, Police were dispatched to attend in the area of Keele Street and Lawrence Avenue West.  Once on scene, Police located a bullet hole on the top floor of a residence.  Also located were shell casings in a nearby parking lot and a bus shelter.  Toronto EMS attended and transported three victims to a hospital.

A 25 year old male reports that on June 17, 2009 at about 0030 hours, he was in the area of Eglinton Avenue West and Oakwood Avenue when he was approached from behind by a male suspect.  The suspect then produced an unknown object to the victim’s back and indicated he was armed, although no weapon was seen.   The suspect removed a music mixer from the victim’s arm and fled the scene in an older model, black 4 door Honda, Civic driven by a second suspect.  No injuries were sustained by the victim.   Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described persons in connection with this offence.  Description of Suspect #1: Male, white.  Suspect #2: NO DESCRIPTION AVAILABLE.

A 67 year old female reports that on June 17, 2009 at about 0936 hours, she was in the area of Brenyon Way and Sewells Road when she was approached by a male suspect wearing a disguise.  The suspect then grabbed the victim’s necklace that was around her neck and fled the scene northbound on Sewells Road.  No injuries were sustained by the victim.  Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described person in connection with this offence.  Description of Suspect: Male, black, 18-28 years, 5’7”-5’11”, 141-161 lbs, thin build.

A 48 year old female reports that during the month of July 2008, she turned over a cheque to a friend who in turn invested it with an investment company in Las Vegas Nevada.  The victim attempted to contact the company to find out the status of her withdrawal of funds but was unsuccessful.  Total amount defrauded is estimated at $25,000.00.  Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described person in connection with this offence.  Description of Suspect:  Female, 40 to 45 years, Asian.
