Officers from 14 Division discovered the large cache of bikes after investigating the owner of the The Bicycle Clinic on Queen St. W., whom they allegedly witnessed directing another man to steal bicycles. Officers found 2,865 bicycles stored in homes, garages and a storefront during the course of the investigation.
Supt. Ruth White, unit commander of 14 Division, urged bicycle owners to combat theft by registering their bicycles online.
“Take a few minutes to register your bike. It will make it much easier for us to return it to you.”
