Jane Creba, 15, was killed and six others injured when gunfire erupted on Yonge St. as it was filled with shoppers.

Police released surveillance footage that shows the man in the Eaton Centre before the shooting and transporting one of the victims to St. Michael’s hospital after the shooting.

“He is certainly a witness to what happened,” Homicide Squad S/Insp Brian Raybould said, at a press conference at police headquarters.

“We know that a series of incidents occurred,” Raybould said, with two groups of young men in “combative” positions in the Eaton Centre and on Yonge St.
Raybould says police have been poring over hundreds of hours of surveillance footage handed over by storeowners, the Eaton Centre and the TTC.

“The community of Toronto has been greatly affected by the murder of Jane Creba,” said Raybould, believing the shock may have spread nationwide.

“This is the next step in a very lengthy and complex investigation.”

The man in the tan jumpsuit is described as black and approximately 20 years old.
