Robbery (Delivery Person) - 42 Division

A 51 year old male employee of Kentucky Fried Chicken, 3351 Lawrence Avenue East, reports that on July 11, 2004 between 1755 hours and 1805 hours, he was making a delivery in an apartment building in the area of Lawrence Avenue East and Overture Road. Three male suspects wearing disguises approached the victim from behind. One of the suspects pushed the victim’s head against a wall. The second suspect produced a handgun and threatened the victim, while the third suspect produced a knife. The suspects removed an insulated food delivery bag, cash and food from the victim. The suspect holding the knife then struck the victim behind the head with the knife handle. The suspects fled the scene in an unknown direction. The victim sustained no injuries. Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described persons in connection with this offence. Description of Suspect #1: Male, black. Robbery (Mugging) - 55 Division

A 21 year old male reports that on July 12, 2004 at 0245 hours, he was walking in the area of Queen Street West and Bathurst Street, when he was approached by a male suspect. The suspect punched the victim in the face and removed cigarettes and cash from his person. The suspect then fled the scene in an unknown direction. The victim sustained no injuries. Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described person in connection with this offence. Description of Suspect: male, white, 45 years, 5’5”, 222 pounds, short and balding gray hair, heavy build.

Robbery (Swarming) - 32 Division

A 35 year old male reports that on July 11, 2004 at about 1412 hours, he was in the area of Dufferin Street and Wilson Avenue, when he was approached by three male suspects. The suspects produced a handgun and a pipe and struck the victim about the head and body. The suspects then fled the scene in an unknown direction. The victim was transported to Humber River Regional Hospital, Church Site where he was treated for his injuries and later released. Bomb Explosion - 52 Division

On July 12, 2004 at approximately 0530 hours, a pipe bomb, made of butane fluid, was left on the window ledge of a premises located at 23 St. Patrick Square. The windows of the premises were shattered and glass fragments were scattered inside and outside. No injuries were sustained. Damage to the premises is estimated at $500.00.

Robbery (Purse Snatch) - 32 Division

A 74 year old female reports that on July 12, 2004 at approximately 1400 hours, she was walking in the area of Jane Osler Road and Dufferin Street, when she noticed two male suspects approaching her. At the same time, a red motor vehicle driven by a third suspect passed the victim and stopped on the side of the road. Both suspects started to run towards the vehicle and one of the suspects grabbed the victim’s purse while passing her. Both suspects then fled the scene in the awaiting vehicle. No injuries were sustained by the victim. Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described persons in connection with this offence. Arrested by Members of No. 53 Division. Investigated by the Hold-Up Squad.

On July 12, 2004, a male suspect entered the Bank of Montreal at 262 Bloor Street West and approached a teller. The suspect indicated he was armed, although no weapon was seen, and demanded cash. The victim complied and the suspect fled the scene but was arrested a short time later. Investigation revealed the suspect had robbed a number of banks in the Toronto area during the period from May 28, 2004 to July 6, 2004. On two occasions, the suspect threatened to shoot the tellers. The suspect was charged accordingly. Partial recovery has been made.
