Mahamed WARSAME 16/M Mahamed Adbi Warsame told his mom Saturday night he was going with friends to a movie theatre to see Iron Man. But the 16-year-old North York boy never returned home. He was found murdered at 2:16 p.m. Sunday in the stairwell of 25 Cougar Court

Details of Investigation
The following are the circumstances surrounding the investigation into the death of Mahamed Abdi WARSAME. The deceased was a 16 year old resident of Toronto who resided with his mother and uncle. On Sunday May 04, 2008 at approximately 2:16pm, the Toronto Police Service Communications Bureau received a 911 call from a male reporting that a dead body had been located in the 9th floor stairwell of 25 Cougar Court, Toronto. Uniformed officers from 43 Division attended at the scene and located a male on the landing of the southeast stairwell in between the 9th and 10th floor. The male showed signs of trauma, responding officers could not locate a pulse and the male was cold to the touch. Ambulance and Fire Department attended at the scene and proceeded to the stairwell. The male was Vital Signs Absent and was pronounced dead at the scene. A canvas of the building was commenced as well as a cursory search of the exterior of the building for items of evidentiary value. Mr. Warsame did not live in the building and it is unknown at this point who he may have been visiting. The building is equipped with a Digital Security recording system.
