Courtney PAULWELL 23/M Mr. PAULWELL was a resident of the Driftwood Community. He was confronted on the street near the intersection of Driftwood Avenue and Driftwood Court in Toronto and shot several times.

Details of Investigation
On Monday January 4, 1999, shortly before 10:00 p.m., Courtney Paulwell was in the vicinity of Driftwood Avenue and Driftwood Court when he was confronted and shot several times. The incident was heard by residents in the area and witnessed by passers-by. A 9-1-1 call prompted the attendance of police officers from 31 Division and other emergency services personnel. Attending officers found Mr. Paulwell lying face down in the middle of the street, unresponsive and bleeding profusely. Despite emergency life saving efforts, Mr. Paulwell succumbed to his injuries. The motivation for this offence remains unknown.
