Victims
Shawn McLEAN 22/M Prior to his murder, Shawn was at the North York Sheridan Mall where he was captured on security video surveillance. Portions of that video can be viewed in the attached multimedia.

Details of Investigation
On Tuesday January 22, 2008 approximately 8:30 p.m., Shawn McLean was walking alone, along Jane Street in the area of Chalkfarm Drive. He was shot and left for dead by unknown assailant(s). Only when a passing TTC employee came upon the victim were emergency services called. Shawn died in hospital three days later with his family at his side. The death of Shawn McLean has left a community in shock and his family asking for answers. There is no clear motive why Shawn was targeted.
