The following are the circumstances surrounding the death of Norman ENNIS.
On Tuesday, December 10th, 1991, at approximately 3:22 a.m. Police and Department of Ambulance Services personnel responded to a radio call to 2322 Eglinton Avenue West.
The first officers on scene were constables from 12 Division.
The now deceased Norman ENNIS was located slumped over in the driver’s seat of his cab, apparently suffering gunshot wounds to the head.
Department of Ambulance Services Paramedics arrived and administered emergency treatment.
He was transported to hospital where he underwent emergency surgery.
The Homicide Squad was notified.
Detectives attended the scene and took charge of the investigation
At 9:20 a.m. Norman ENNIS succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced.
A Provincial Coroner attended and ordered a Post Mortem examination be conducted.
Investigations into this matter are continuing.
