Details of Investigation
The following are the circumstances surrounding the murder of Alton Hugh GRIZZLE.

On Monday, May 9th, 1994, at 4:26 a.m., the Toronto Police Communications Bureau received a 9-1-1 call reporting that a male had been shot on Sheppard Avenue West one block east of Keele Street.

Uniform officers from 31 Division were dispatched to the area, along with Department of Ambulance Services and North York Fire Department personnel.

Police attended at Sheppard Avenue and Bakersfield Street where they observed several hundred people milling about in the parking lot on the northwest corner of the intersection.

Police located the body of the deceased lying on the ground between two vehicles.

The deceased was attended to by the Department of Ambulance Service Attendants and found to be vital signs absent.

The deceased was transported to Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 4:52 a.m.

The Homicide Squad were notified and attended the scene and took charge of the investigation.

The investigation into the murder of Alton Hugh GRIZZLE is continuing.
