On Wednesday, December 3, 2008, at 12:18 p.m., police responded to an unknown trouble call at an apartment building on Coin Street. Officers attended and located a 72−year−old man suffering from obvious signs of trauma. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to everyone in the building, Richard was a kind, gentle and generous man who helped anyone who needed it. Even though Richard was a double amputee, he was very mobile using his wheelchairs.
His community is shocked and horrified about his murder and demand justice.
Homicide investigators have been working hard to bring Richard's killer to justice, but they need the assistance of the community to move the investigation forward.
