The following are the circumstances surrounding the murder of Terry Lee TAYLOR and the wounding of a 33 year old male.
On Thursday, March 27th, 1997, at approximately 9:19 p.m., a 9-1-1 call was received stating that a stabbing had taken place on Barker Avenue(Woodbine Avenue and Danforth Ave).
When the police arrived on scene, they found TAYLOR being attended to by ambulance and fire personnel. He had no vital signs.

Forensic Identification Officers also attended the scene.
Investigation has determined that the deceased was at a Woodbine Avenue restaurant, just north of Lumsden Avenue. He had been inside the restaurant for several hours socializing with friends.
Upon exiting the restaurant he and a friend became involved in an ongoing fight between an area resident and a male he did not know. The male then walked across Woodbine Avenue and through the Beer Store parking lot situated on the southwest corner of Woodbine and Barker Avenue.
On Barker Avenue, the deceased and the injured victim approached the suspect about the earlier confrontation with the area resident. The suspect immediately turned around and stabbed the injured male. The suspect then stabbed the deceased. He fled continuing westbound on Barker Avenue toward Westmount Avenue.
At 3:20 a.m., TAYLOR was pronounced dead after undergoing emergency surgery for a stab wound to the heart.
The investigation continues.
