On August 28th, 1999, the victim was assaulted on the street in front of 3182 Dundas Street West by a male who was attempting to rob him. The victim was struck in the head and he fell to the ground and may have struck his head on the pavement.
On September 15th, 1999 the victim died while recovering from surgery at St. Michael’s hospital.
The post-mortem was conducted on September 16th, 1999 by a Forensic Pathologist and the cause of death was eventually determined to be blunt force trauma to the head.
Investigations are continuing.
