Details of Investigation
The following are the circumstances surrounding the death of Winsbert MALCOLM.

On Friday November 5, 1999 at about 9:17 a.m. an emergency 9-1-1 call was received reporting a shooting. Police from 22 Division attended an address and were directed into a townhouse unit. It was in the basement of that unit where the officers discovered the lifeless body of Winsbert Malcolm.

Police arrived and began life saving efforts. They were relieved by attending paramedic staff. Winsbert Malcolm was pronounced dead at the scene via the paramedic link.

Preliminary investigation has revealed that Winsbert Malcolm was shot by two assailants inside his home. The weapon used is believed to be a handgun.

Detectives from 22 Division C.I.B. were the initial investigative personnel at the scene.

Detectives from Forensic Identification Services were assigned to the forensic examination of the scene.

The Homicide Squad is working closely with Divisional personnel and investigations are continuing.
