The following is the known information regarding the death of Osvaldo AHUMADA.
On Saturday 29 September 2001, a 9-1-1 call was received by emergency services regarding the sound of gunshots at the rear of 10 Tapscott Road, 42 Division.
Police from 42 Division primary response attended and located the deceased. The deceased was obviously suffering from a gunshot wound. The officers immediately seized off the area protecting the scene.
Members of Toronto Ambulance Service attended and pronounced the victim dead.
Investigation has revealed that a male, 15-18 years 5’ 11” chubby build, dressed all in black clothing, was seen running from the area of the shooting. Further, this suspect was seen getting into the passenger side of a cream coloured car with a spoiler on the trunk. This vehicle was last seen driving in a westerly direction.
Investigation to date indicates that the deceased left his home in Brampton on Saturday 29 September 2001 at approximately 11:00 a.m. He was driving his fathers 1995 Honda Accord 4 door gold in colour with a spoiler on the trunk, and was en route to pick up his one year old son in downtown Toronto. The deceased never attended his girlfriend’s house but was somehow diverted to Scarborough and the scene of this murder.
