The following are the circumstances surrounding the murder of David BULLER.
On Friday, January 19, 2001 at approximately 6:58 hours officers from 52 Division responded to a radio call to attend the University of Toronto, 1 Spadina Crescent, with regards to a sudden death.
At approximately 7:05 hours, police from 52 Division arrived on scene.
The deceased appeared to have stab wounds.
On Friday, January 19th, 2001, at approximately 0635 hours, an employee for the University of Toronto in the janitorial section was doing her rounds collecting the garbage from the second floor. She went into the deceased’s room 230A to collect the garbage and found the deceased lying on the floor and immediately called the police.
The investigation has revealed David Buller was a lecturer in the visual arts section of the University of Toronto. He has been lecturing at the University since 1985. He was well liked by his students and well respected by the facility and staff of the University of Toronto.
The investigators received excellent cooperation from the staff and police from the University of Toronto.
The investigation is continuing.
