The Fraud Squad is the oldest established squad in the Toronto Police Service. The Auto Squad had been the oldest (having been established in the 1940?s to combat safecrackers) but has since been incorporated into Special Investigation Services. The Homicide Squad was established in 1956, and the Hold-up Squad, in 1958.
