The purpose of this system is to provide recorded messages about incidents of crime, suspect descriptions and crime prevention tips that you should be aware of (i.e. missing children, or robbery suspects). The system attempts to contact registered homes up to 5 times or will leave a message on an answering machine. The system calls Monday to Friday, between 9:00 am and 9:00 p.m.; Saturday between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. and Sunday 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. In an emergency situation such as a missing child you may be called at anytime. This system was implemented to enhance communications between the public and police. Get involved and help make our neighbourhood a safer place to live and work.
To participate please contact Constable Robin Lynn Harvey, e-mail 23 Division Crime Prevention or phone 416-808-2308.
