The Toronto Police Service working with the Community

The Toronto Police Service honours the contributions made by volunteers and recognizes the service of volunteers as a fundamental part of every community. Each volunteer provides an invaluable service to both the Toronto Police Service and the citizens of Toronto.

The efforts of volunteers continue to impact both the individual and community, and assist the Toronto Police Service in building a relationship with the community based on mutual trust and understanding

Whether it is to volunteer your time as an Auxiliary Officer and lend an extra hand canvassing a neighbourhood, working alongside Victim Service personnel in making a supportive telephone call to a victim of crime, or simply extending a smile to a community member at a Toronto Police Service event, volunteers make a difference.

There are 6 Volunteer Programs at the Toronto Police Service:

1. Auxiliary Program
2. Adult & Youth Corps Volunteer Program
3. Victim Service Volunteer Program
4. Rovers*
5. Consultative Committee Volunteers
6. Chaplains

Please review the volunteer programs and choose the best program for you! Each program is administered from a different office therefore we ask that you note the contact information and application process for each.

*The Rover Program is restricted to Humber College Police Foundations Students. For further information please contact 22 Division Community Response Unit at 416-808-2200.
