With over 180 job assignments available, the Toronto Police Service offers excellent career opportunities for individuals seeking professional and personal satisfaction in their work.

After five months of Police College training, probationary officers will spend 10 weeks training within a division and traffic unit. Upon attaining 1st Class Constable status, officers may be eligible for placement in specialized units including:

• Emergency Task Force
• Forensic Identification Service
• Police dog and mounted unit
• Homicide Squad
• Plain Clothes - specialized squads
• Criminal Investigation and major crime Units
• Marine Unit
• Community Response
