Temporary Closure of Job Posting
Effective Friday, October 8, 2021, the application portal for the position of Cadet-in-Training (police officer) will be temporarily closed due to the high volume of applications. It is anticipated that a new job posting will be available November 8, 2021. Applicants who submitted their application prior to the October 8 date will remain in consideration.
If you applied prior to October 8, 2021, your application will remain valid for 1 year from the date of submission. If your application surpassed the 1 year mark before November 8, 2021, you would then submit a new application.
We will continue to host General Information Sessions (GIS) for the cadet-in-training position to ensure candidates have the information needed to prepare for the opportunity and be competitive candidates once the application process opens up again.
You can register by clicking on the Information Sessions Registration icon - View all Jobs - Apply.
Sessions are held twice a week and will provide you with an in-depth understanding of what is required for your application, information about how to best position yourself as competitive candidate and an opportunity to engage with a recruiter to ask any questions you may have.
The temporary closure of the Cadet-in-Training position DOES NOT AFFECT our Civilian Career Opportunities. Please continue to visit the webpage for ongoing civilian career opportunities as they become available.

The Service is implementing a mandatory vaccination requirement to ensure workplace health safety for every member. Applicants do not need to disclose their vaccination status, however, when a candidate has been given a conditional offer of employment, they must be fully vaccinated in accordance with the above definition at the time of the offer.
Applicants who are invited to participate in the Shuttle Run test or the PREP test are asked to provide a Negative COVID-19 test result taken within a 48 hour window. Testing must be performed using either a rapid antigen test or an RT-PCR test. Candidates must not attend any police facility if they have tested positive for COVID-19 or answered YES to any of the COVID screening questions.
